Protege K9 is the compilation of several careers in the dog training and family protection industry.

Ty Brown – Ty Brown is a veteran of the protection dog industry having trained and placed well over one hundred trained protection dogs, guard dogs, and watch dogs to families and homes around the world.  His training adventures have literally taken him across the globe as clients have brought him to dozens of states nationwide and seven countries world wide to work with their dogs.  He has worked with athletes, entertainers, CEOs, politicians, and others of high profile in helping them utilize man’s best friend for their protection needs.

He is the owner of CommuniCanine, a Utah based dog training company that has won the award for best dog training company in Utah nearly every year it’s been in business.

He is also the owner of the popular website, DogBehaviorOnline.com, that has helped literally thousands of dog owners from around the world to solve behavior problems and train for advanced obedience.

Ty has developed many training techniques, methods, and behaviors that are unique to the protection dog world.  We’re happy to be able to offer various trainings that aren’t offered by any other companies.

Joe Tomsich – Joe Tomsich is a long time dog trainer who has worked with just about every dog breed out there and whose range of training skills encompasses conformation training, high end obedience, and protection and security training.

His decoy skills and problem solving amongst protection dogs have put him in high demand for those who are looking to get the best out of their trained companion.  He is a breeder of Champion dogs and brings an in-depth knowledge of genetics and their role in the protection dog to Protege K9.

Protege K9 boasts a training staff that comes from a wide background of dog expertise.  Our trainers and staff will see to it that your invitation of a Protege K9 into your home will be a smooth and successful transition.  From the initial call to the delivery of your dog to your home and to after the sale service our commitment is to make sure that you are satisfied with your new, highly-trained companion.

Protege K9 currently bases operations in Utah and Costa Rica in order to serve an international clientele.
